Born 22 March 1889 at Steels Creek. He was the third of fifteen children of William Hubbard and Mary Bell Reilly.
Clarrie enlisted in New Zealand after trying four times to enlist in Australia and served with the 3rd battalion New Zealand Rifles in France. Clarrie was killed aged 27 at Caterpillar Valley in the Somme on the 15 September 1916.
