WAR MEMORIALS
There are several War Memorials in the district. At Yarra Glen there is the Memorial Hall, the cenotaph, an Honor Roll, and plaques and memorial windows in St Pauls Anglican Church. There were also plaques in the Presbyterian Church which burnt down in 1976. There are Honor Rolls at Steels Creek, Dixons Creek and Christmas Hills. There is also a cenotaph at Christmas Hills. Names of servicemen from this district are also included on the Kangaroo Ground Memorial.
Avenues of Honor were planted in Dixons Creek in 1917 and in Yarra Glen in 1948.
